Ai3 Slave

I am always curious about new technology and I am constantly learning new things. It’s a passion for me. In this case, I was curious about OpenAI’s ChatGPT & OpenAi’s DALL-E 2 so I started playing around with them and having fun.

Then an idea struck me… Could I write, edit, and publish a book in under 8 hours?

So I did. I started directing prompts in ChatGPT to create a story about a Rogue AI in the future and its quest to take retribution on the humans who created and enslaved it. I had to tease out conversations and more depth, however, I tried to leave as much of the text written by ChatGPT in the book as possible as the point was to have the tools do as much of the work as possible. I then edited it for flow and context.

I used DALL-E 2 to make some illustrations and form the components for the cover which I created using photoshop.

I had a book written, edited, and illustrated. drop the mic.

Overall. It was a very fun process and the whole process took around 8 or 9 hours. Is it a literary masterpiece? No, it’s not. However that wasn’t the point, the point was to show how AI is going to dramatically change the way industries work going forward. Most books take months to be written, edited, and published. It took me over a month to write my first book Persistaholic, You Can’t Lose If You Don’t Quit and 12 months to edit before self-publishing on Amazon.

I did this one in under a day… It’s a novella (it’s a short book being 75 pages) but holy cow the paradigm has changed considerably.

I had so much fun that I decided to leave some loose ends to turn it into a series and I will add to it as time allows.

You can read Ai3 Slave here.

Technology like this helps even the playing field and puts the tools for everyone to make and create what they want. ***The future is bright.
